Aspects are the way the planets
interact with one another. Positive aspects combine the energy of the two
planets involved. Negative aspects dissipate the energies of the planets. Angles
are usually not exact. The closer to exact, the more powerful the aspect.
(CJN) - An
angle of roughly 0 degrees. This aspect intensifies the energy of the 2
planets involved.
(TRI) - An
angle of 120 degrees. This is the most powerful positive aspect. Trines
positively enhance the energies of the 2 planets involved. Signs that are
of the same element are 120 degrees from one another.
(SQU) - An
angle of roughly 90 degrees. This is the most powerful of the negative
aspects. A square mute the energy of the planets involved making it
difficult to harness the positive aspects of these planets.
(SXT) - An
angle of roughly 60 degrees. Sextiles are a weaker positive aspects.
Similar to a trine but with less energy.
(OPP) - An
angle of roughly 180 degrees. Oppositions occur when the planets involved
are literally opposite one another. The energies of those planets seem to
pull the person in 2 different directions, thus dissipating the energies
of those planets.
There are other aspects of lesser importance.
Semi-Square (SSQ) 45 degrees, Semi-Sextile (SSX) 30 degrees, Sesqui-Square
(SES) 135 degrees and Inconjunct also known as a Quincunx (INC) 150
degrees.
