Reg Leach #27 Born 4/23/1950 Riverton, Manitoba Forward 7 Goals 13 Assists 20 Points |
From the Bruins 71-72 Yearbook Reg Leach was the Bruins' first junior amateur draft choice in June, 1970... With 65 goals to show for his last amateur season, it was understandable why the Bruins chose him first. . .With most any other club, the 21 year old bullet-shooting right winger would have been a regular during the 1970-71 season . .. But the Bruins were loaded with talent and rather than have him ride the bench, they sent Reggie to Oklahoma City to play regularly . . He was recalled in mid-January after collecting 24 goals and 18 assists in 41 games with the Blazers ... With the Bruins record-bent he didn't get much action the rest of the season but he did score his first major league goal against the St. Louis Blues Sunday, Jan.31 .Bruins are counting on him for full time duty this year at right wing . . . On which line, they don't know, but he'll be playing with his firepower... Leach who is known as Little Beaver to his teammates because of his Indian blood, is married and has a baby daughter. |
