Merz is a five-time member of the U.S. Women's National Team (1990, 1992, 1994, 1995 and 1996) ... recorded six goals and 10 assists in 25 games with the national team ... also appeared on U.S. Women's Select Teams in 1993, 1995, 1996 and 1997 ... played college hockey at the University of New Hampshire from 1990-94 ... named to the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference Second Team and the New England Hockey Writers All-Star Team following her senior season ... finished her career at UNH with 103 points on 50 goals and 53 assists ...
